    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chem 1A is tough course, but it is an excellent class to take to cover the physical science breadth requirement! The professor is excellent and truly cares for his students.

    Course highlights:

The course was filled with "demos" which allows students to see chemistry in action without the need of a lab (which often isn't needed for certain majors).

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the optional homework. It is not graded, but it allows you to understand topics and cover them to review for the exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

GSIs and teacher scholars are always available and responsive!

    Course highlights:

Prof. Stacy teaches chemistry using everyday examples, not using too much complex chem terms.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Review the homework questions with Prof.Stacy's web slides, and go over the past midterms carefully.

Learning about acid-base chemistry was the best.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to all the lectures and do the practice problems.
