    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Interesting class on social structures, everything from companies and businesses, to families and schools. This is a great sociology class for someone interested in business or management

    Course highlights:

We read great books, including Fast Food Nation (such a fun book about the rise of McDonalds in the US and how it shaped corporate culture, suburban life, and the American economy), and The Smartest Guys in the Room (all about the Enron scandal). This class is all about understanding the social theories behind everyday life and it is really interesting! Would be great even for non-sociology majors.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to lecture, if you do you will do well in the class. The exams are very straight forward if you do the readings! The class is designed for students to do well.
