Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Gervase made the material fun and exciting- it made me fall in love with American history all over again.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the assigned books, especially Confederates in the Attic. This was a perspective on the civil war that is not spoken about much.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed, you should definitely do the reading and pay attention in lecture- the two really go hand in hand.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Einhorn is a great lecturer. Highly recommend you take notes on a laptop because she doesn't believe in slides, only outlines, and she talks pretty fast.

    Course highlights:

The section on Berkeley history during the Civil Rights movement and Free Speech Movement was super interesting since it happened on our campus.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study in groups with students in different discussions with different GSI's because they all provide a different interpretation.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It is a very laid back yet fast paced and informative class. samantha is awesome she even took us to in and out.

    Course highlights:

I learned that so much happened simultaneously during time periods. For example reconstruction, industrialization, and westward expansion all had at least a decade overlap. In high school they treat everything like segments but in this course you learn the reality that most, including myself, are oblivious to.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just keep up on the reading and make sure you know how key historical figures and terms relate to each other.
