    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is awesome and engaging in aclass that is already challenging. Be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to it if you have no previous coding experience, but it is doable.

    Course highlights:

A LOT of statistical concepts. Basically you'll be able to analyze data, conceptualize complex research papers and have a deep understanding of the process of basic psychological research by the end of the course

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Time and effort! Do not underestimate the complexity of the course, and take advantage of the recorded lectures, some of his concepts are so complex that you'll have to dig into, pause and play again...

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course can be challenging, and R can be really intimidating at first even with computer experience, but the professor is really excellent about helping you break through the material. You know a professor is good when everyone loves him at the end of a statistics course and all the students are psych majors.

    Course highlights:

Statistics theory was refreshed pretty thoroughly, you learn a ton about the data analysis program R, and about psychological research methods. As the final project of the class you have to conduct your own psych research, so you learn all the rigors and pitfalls of that as well.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend working with a strong group as soon as possible if you can manage it. Especially in the beginning, code in R can be maddening, so the extra help can be a life saver. I also built a little codex of code for different processes in R that I could just load during assignments that was extremely helpful.
