Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Very knowledgeable professor in his field of Chemical Biology. He is very passionate about teaching students. He always reviews the previous lecture's material before going on to a new topic, which is helpful in retaining the information taught in the class.

    Course highlights:

We learned the basics of chemical biology. We focused a lot on glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, including all the steps and enzymes involved and how they are generated in the cell. Glucogenis was also covered.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Come to lecture and office hours. If possible, do the associated reading that corresponds to the material being taught in class either before or after lecture, if not both. Nothing will substitute for a depth of knowledge that can be gained by putting in the time and effort to read the book.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this since the course really teaches you why molecules in these biological pathways change instead of just memorizing arrow pushing.

    Course highlights:

Professor Francis is an entertaining lecturer and explains things so well that you don't need a textbook for the class -- only lecture notes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Get very comfortable with the problem sets and why the molecules change the way they do and you'l be set for the test.
