Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is highly interesting with minimal writing, excellent literature, and fair grading.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course for me were getting to watch Only Lovers Left Alive and reading Carmilla.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Actually do the reading obviously. More importantly make sure to start the essays plenty of time in advance. Also participation is a decently big part of the class so just ask some questions or offer some opinions during class. Especially early on as it will establish you to the instructors as someone who participates a lot.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The readings are incredibly interesting and this is partly due to the enthusiasm from Irina, the head instructor. She's always available during office hours to help and will truly help turn your essay around, even if you feel like there's no hope left.

    Course highlights:

We did group presentations throughout the course and it allowed us to learn different interpretations of the course material. This class truly emphasized to me that there is really no wrong answer. People interpret things differently, but ultimately everyone's own contributions lead to a fuller perspective of the entire work.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to office hours. They are extremely helpful especially when it comes to essays. They will hear out your approach and help you clarify and develop it even further.
