Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course. Although it is challenging and note heavy, it is very informative and interesting! The instructor is great and learning how drugs effext the mind and body is very eye opening.

    Course highlights:

I learned how different drugs such as alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, coffee and many more drugs effect are daily lives. I also learned how these drugs, as well as many more, effect our mind and behavior.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is not the easiest class there is. But what it lacks in easiness, it makes up for in being extremely interesting. This class is great for any biology major, science major, or anyone interested in how drugs affect the brain, body, and human behavior.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in the way drugs enter your body, and in the ways they react with receptors in your brain. It is very interesting, and the professor is very knowledgeable on the topic. This course was a great introductory course on molecular and cell biology as well.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the different substance units. For example we did a unit on psychedelics and another on amphetamines. I learned about the many routes of administration that a drug can take and the different neurotransmitters that are affected by the drug. I also learned about the potential risks that come with the drugs and the addiction potential of each drug we studied.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

When studying, make sure to study your lecture notes. The exams are based on them alone. He also puts very specific questions on the exams so make sure to study thoroughly. The exams are not cumulative though, so each should be very manageable. The key terms on his website are another great study tool.
