Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course, I believe, should be a mandatory one for all majors. It is a great introduction to queer theory and teaches students about the history of queer people of color that is often erased. The discussion section of this class is particularly interesting because it is a place in which students can voice their own opinions and learn from one another.

    Course highlights:

One of my favorite parts of this course was learning about Bayard Rustin, an incredible man that assisted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in his fight for civil rights. Often, people aren't aware of Mr. Rustin, mainly because he is a gay black man who wasn't afraid to voice his opinion.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend class and discussion! It will teach you so much to be open with your peers and participate.
