Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was the most useful class I took in Berkeley. When I was first taking it, I didn't quite appreciate it at first, but as the semester rolled by, I started to get a great appreciation for the class. We had 1 big group project all semester, and it followed what a real software engineering job might be like. We learned Ruby on Rails, HTML(mostly on our own), some javascript(mostly on our own), git(mostly on our own). The only annoying thing was having to stay out late for projects. Also, you need a personal laptop to do work in a group or else you have to find another way (computer lab/ home)

    Course highlights:

Git, Rails, HTML, Javascript, Bootstrap / CSS

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Choose your group wisely for the big project. It matters a lot. Participate in your project. Your group members will rate your performance. You don't have to do something too fancy. My project was just mostly front end (since our client wanted to do the backend), so talk to your client about what they need before trying to do something too fancy. Stack overflow is your friend.
