    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who is interested in Spanish culture and furthering their learning of the Spanish language. This course was engaging and very interactive. I never felt like I was falling behind and I was always excited to be in the classroom because of the small group setting. We were all given equal attention by our teacher and we all did well in the course because of it.

    Course highlights:

I really loved learning more about Spanish history and culture. We covered everything from the origins and many dialects of Spanish all the way to activists like Cesar Chavez and Rigoberta Menchu. We explored (virtually) the countries Central America and compared and contrasted the cultural traits of each one. We also read both past and modern day Spanish literature - my favorite was "The House on Mango Street" a story about a young hispanic girl growing up in recent Chicago. Overall the course was great!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't wait to do your homework! Make sure you actually put effort into studying and participate in the class discussions! Speaking Spanish is scary, but you can only get better if you practice!
