Always Do the Reading
This class was tough.
I would recommend this course for anyone who is interested in studying about different racial and ethnic groups. If you want to learn about how those racial/ethnic groups came together in solidarity, then this class is for you.
This class had quite a few guest lecturers who were all interesting with different career paths. The speakers were funny and eye-opening. They carried different passions that connected in the fact that they wanted to know more about the history of a people and use it to create a change in their community. The class was pretty chill, but has a great impact on how you see the people around you.

Advice for students:
This class had about 3-4 reading given each week totaling up to about 100-200 pages. There was a reading for every lecture and were expected to read before class! If reading or procrastination is something you struggle with, find a study partner and/or take notes as you read to help you understand it better. Set aside time each day to sit and read to ensure that you are getting it done in time.
