    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a must if you are a computer science major, and even if you aren't one, it is still a great course to take if you want to learn more about coding.

    Course highlights:

I now have a solid understanding of c++. The homework's are very interesting, as you are continually trying out new concepts in the c++ programming language.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of your homework and attend every lecture! If you put in the effort and do not fall behind, you will do fine.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a good introduction to basic programming that proves useful for the majority of the course work to come.

    Course highlights:

I'm currently taking the course, however I'm learning a lot of different syntax for programming that differs from other programming courses. Highlights of this course so far include diversification.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My best advice would be to make sure to stay on top of the course work because it is easy to fall behind as high level of understanding in the course requires not only knowledge of computers, but also of syntax options.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is very important to the understanding of how computer programming works. It is a very good introduction into the overall "language" of computers.

    Course highlights:

I learned many fundamental concepts to programming, especially on a more hardware-based level. Pointers, references, and the use of system memory are all concepts that were paramount to my success in the class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always keep up-to-date on the reading in the textbook. It really is a tremendous help on the homework, in lab, and on the tests.
