    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to those looking for a challenge and not an easy way out. If you want to be held to a standard and aren't afraid of some work, then Dr Rao's class is a great place to take introductory biology.

    Course highlights:

Evolution, chemical context of life, water and life, carbon and molecular diversity, structure and function of large biological molecules, membrane structure and function, metabolism, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, cell division.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend class, take notes, record lectures, go to office hours!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend taking Biology 111 with Dr. Tag. He is an awesome professor (super funny) and really knows his stuff! His tests are pretty difficult, not going to lie, but they are not impossible. You just need to have a strong mindset and work hard at it.

    Course highlights:

This course went into so much detail about cell cycles and cell regulation. This knowledge is important to have if you want to go into medicine later on. Repetition is key when is comes to learning these concepts.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I strongly recommend reading the textbook. His lectures are a summary of the chapters and he only touches on some information. I used to take the loose leaf pages from the text book to class and follow along and take notes next to the diagrams he was explaining. That helped me a ton!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is very much a refresher from high school. I highly reccommend my professor as well. She really helps and cares about you learning the material. She loves Biology.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were definitely the SI study sessions. These are basically free tutor sessions on campus. They were scheduled three times a week and I made almost every single one. Very helpful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook!!!!!! Go to SI sessions!!
