Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Hilty has a strong accent but he knows what he's talking about. He goes in just a right speed where you're not left behind and he makes sure that everyone understands what he is teaching.

    Course highlights:

I love his personality as a person and it makes it even better learning,

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study alot, of course in a hard science class that is a given

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is very challenging, but I learned more than I thought I could about chemistry and even about my own study habits.

    Course highlights:

I gained the ability to be a better student through this course. This course is the perfect course to take your first semester in college because it requires great listening skills, self-teaching abilities, and motivation.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study every week whether you think you need to or not. Just being familiar with the material before going to the lecture helped so much.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the TA was very helpful in explaining what needed to be done for each experiment, and also graded very fairly. The course also had a slight curve on it to ensure that everyone would get as high a grade as they deserved. The class does include an intense amount of writing. There is a lab report due every week that usually takes an incredibly long time to do.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was that it taught you how to write a decent lab report for when you take research later on. Many experiments are conducted, and most of them relate to the lecture part of the course, just at different moments in time. I learned specifically how hard it is to write a lab report, and that a decent lab report usually takes me about seven hours.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to do an immense amount of writing. This lab only meets once a week for three hours, but the lab will take twice as long to do always so be ready to dedicate that long amount of time to the class. Don't be afraid that you won't understand the material because the TA is there to help you and will answer and questions you may have.
