Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I'm taking this class online and it's set up through ecampus very nicely. Each week there's about 4 authors to read a few works about, a very short quiz, and a usually simple assignment that relates to the final written project (which is nice because this way you aren't doing a bunch of unrelated assignments and then still having to do a giant paper at the end). Overall it's a great course, with an introduction to a lot of interesting American writers.
For me, this was an overview of American Lit from 1865-Present. I had never really explored American authors past the Civil War much, so this was a great introduction to more American writers who were heavily influenced by our changing American and contemporary culture, such as immigration, racial tensions, jazz music, and even Cubism (yes the art).

Advice for students:
If gyou aren't very good at comprehending literature on your own, be careful taking this course online as her notes are very short and not very in depth.
