    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I loved A&P 1! During this semester, you will learn more about the human body than you ever thought possible. If you fill out Cohn's reviews and understand all the questions (even though yes, it seems like a lot), you'll make A's on all of his lecture exams. The lab is the more challenging aspect. Be sure to read the lab at least 5 days before your lab session. Break the material into chunks and study some each day. Be sure to also review past labs while studying! If you study hard all semester, the practical will be much less challenging. Log on to the website on the inside cover of the lab manual! It has printable pictures and matching games to help you learn. I loved printing the pictures and practice quizzing myself on them after I felt like I knew everything. Don't give up! It may seem overwhelming, but just chip away slowly at all the work and you'll be set! He normally curves about at 85 up to an A!

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about the human body and how all the different systems interact to make us move. I learned all the bones and muscles of both a human body and a cat body. The mechanisms of muscle movement and nerve impulses are also very interesting! I loved all the clinical applications I could develop during this class. I learned how to study and how to develop good study habits with the people in my lab section.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Go for it! Planning your time and dividing your study hours out is key to success in this class. Don't think you can only study one or two days before lab. There's so much material. You need to spread it out and constantly be reviewing! Study before and go to the optional reviews! It's awesome time to put your study knowledge to the test.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because i believe everybody should have a basic understanding of their own body. This course will give you the basics and beyond, and is a very interesting subject.

    Course highlights:

I learned all there is to know about the basic structure and function of the body. Everything from the four types of tissue to the function of the liver.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to have high self efficacy because this course is tough. However, the challenge of this course makes the learning experience rewarding, and even better when you get the A.
