Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it is required and Dr. Martin puts a fun spin on history. She is a social historian, so it's not all wars and dates.

    Course highlights:

I learned that there were a lot of impactful people in American History who most people don't know. Also, primary documents are not only extremely resourceful, they are interesting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study for the exams! The exams are multiple choice AND an essay. The essay is the most important thing to know how to do. Make sure that it is structured and includes as much detail as possible.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Lenihan really cared about his students! He doesn't make you buy the textbook and he loves when students ask questions and get involved. He really cares about his teaching.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of things I knew and a lot of things I didn't know. He gave an unbiased perspective that opened your eyes to different views.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the assigned reading for discussion! Don't sparknote the two main books- there are papers on them and they appear on the tests and final.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Stranges is an older guy, very intelligent. His class can get a bit boring though.

    Course highlights:

He writes his own books that you use for the class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you read his notes. Test are completely from lectures.
