    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I thought this course wasn't too hard but it also wasn't too easy. There is definitely a lot of reading but it's for your own good. The class discussions really helped understand the lesson that was given and the TA's were very helpful.

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned a lot more than what I already knew and in more detail as well. I thought the highlights of this course was when we talked about slavery. The subject was taught well and the book that was assigned that was about slavery was very interesting.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Any advice I would give would probably be to do as much reading as you possibly can from the books assigned. They can really help with the essays that have to be done in this course as well as the lectures. It is important to pay attention to the lectures because they can also help with the assignments.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I am not a history buff. It is actually one of my hardest classes because it is the least interesting to me, however, Dr. Chavez makes me laugh several times every lecture so I don't mind. He is a great professor in my opinion. He always answers questions in class, and is very prompt with emails out side of class. He is passionate about what he does and it's almost hard not to catch on to that.

    Course highlights:

The best thing about this course for me is that there is a teaching assistant willing to help. She revised my paper before I had to submit it and gave me feedback that I found really helpful. I actually learned a lot in this class, well being that I never took it upon myself to learn history. The most interesting to me is learning about the origins of slavery.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class! He does keep attendance and not only that but you will never know what's going on if you don't. He posts the power points on blackboard but it's very confusing if you missed the lecture. TAKE NOTES. And take GOOD notes.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The teacher creates a great environment for learning.

    Course highlights:

I liked that we had group work throughout the semester.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just take this class you will not regret it.
