    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you need to take a communication course this is the most helpful. I hate public speaking but she taught us effective methods in order to be amazing public speakers. She makes us do a ton of speeches to help us get over our fears as well as critique us.

    Course highlights:

Not to bore your audience with information overload.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Actually TRY! It will help you in the long run.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are scared to speak in public but also need to learn how to do so effectively this is the perfect course. "Sunbae" teaches you how to not be afraid by forcing you to give about a million speeches in front of the class. She in a way desensitizes you to the dark world of public speaking.

    Course highlights:

Not to bore your audience by information overkill.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Actually try! It helps in the long run.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Speaking in public is often terrifying for people but if you learn skills to make you better and if you do it repeatedly it might make it less scary. This class taught me things about speaking professionally that if I had been taught before now I would not have been so scared of even the thought of it.

    Course highlights:

The most important thing I learned was that PowerPoint can be extremely boring and if you overload people with information on a screen you are sabotaging your presentation. I learned that less is more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the work! You are helping yourself in the long run by actually participating and not just going through the class doing the least amount of work possible. When you learn things in this class, you can actually put them to use in real life.
