Course Overview:
This math course is probably one of the best courses I could've ever taken. We did all our work on the computer and we would complete it at our own rate. My professor would give the class enough time to complete our class work and our homework. He would help the students if we didn't understand a certain objective and would make sure we completely understood.
Course highlights:
By taking this course I understood that even though my professor gave plenty of time to complete work, going ahead of time was the best thing I could do. I learned that professors are understanding and are more than willing to help you out.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Just do your work, stay focused and ask plenty of questions if you don't understand. Always be on time and punctual when it comes to learning. You aren't going to get better unless you understand what you are doing and practice it as much as possible.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
Not only is this class important in graduating but the teacher himself is great! I believe you can solve any problem in college algebra taking him as a teacher he is the best.
Course highlights:
The highlights of this course is mental math and gaining the ability to solve equations in multiple ways. I am still taking this course as a college freshman.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
All you need is motivation and a positive attitude. Tips on studying I would consider are going through your notes and homework everyday as a tool to master your quizzes and exams.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would not recommend this course because the way it is taught does not make it possible to learn any valuable knowledge by yourself. The entire course, the teacher copied problems from the book that the class required to the board. He would then ask someone to go and solve the problem, and most of the time there would be no explanation as to how it was solved. If nobody could solve it, then he would give a weak explanation of how he got the answer, most likely thinking we already know how, and it is just a review for us.
Course highlights:
Honestly, there were very few highlights of this course. The ones I can remember clearly were the ones when I was with my friend studying for the exams. Therefore, I recommend to take the course with a close friend, for it will make it so much easier, since the teacher hardly replied back to any email that I sent inquiring about a problem. If you take the class with a friend, at least you have someone else that you can have discussions with.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
I would tell students considering this course to be one hundred percent certain whether they want to take this course, for when you're in the middle of the class experiencing what I just wrote on top, there will be no backing down. Another advice would be, as I previously stated, to take the class with a friend, it will make it way easier, since there is absolutely no support from the teacher.
