Great Intro to the Subject
Many Small Assignments
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I believe this course is great for college students because not only does it make one more culturally aware and well rounded, but it helps an individual become more studious with the reading material. I have learned a tremendous amount of information regarding the world we live in and the numerous cultures that exist within in it.
Some of the highlights of this course included discussions over all 7 of the continents and their natural and cultural landscapes and how individuals lived historically to the present day. General geography knowledge is expressed in this course such as climate change, migration, and the green house affect. I learned that there is so much diversity in this world that individuals do not take in consideration on a daily basis. This class has erupted a curiosity within me on how our nation can help our planet when it comes to climate change and why individuals continue to practice xenophobia. One of my favorite chapters discussed in this class discussed the South Asian Realm and the Middle East. I learned about how many individuals live on a daily basis through their religion and economic means. The contrast from the United States is incredible. These regions fascinated me because people are extremely dependent on nature such as the monsoon and oil. Overall, this course has provided me with endless information regarding different parts of the world that I am grateful to have.
