    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She is a horrible professor with unclear deadlines. She over-complicates every single thing that we do in the class.

    Course highlights:

I did not learn anything in that class except to not take the professor again.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Just don't take the course, it is a freshman course that is made way harder than it even needed to be.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While professor hall had taken a liking to me personally, the instructions were scattered and vague at times, which made the course particularly challenging.

    Course highlights:

I ended up appreciating this course by its end. I learned how to be more objective in my writings (when appropriate) and also be persuasive without being too abrasive.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering taking this course, be sure to read the assigned readings as soon as they are assigned. Pay attention to all extra credit opportunities. If you work hard, it is easy to be successful.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend that any prospective students that anticipate having to take this course opt to test out or take it over the summer, especially if your choice of a professor is Phil West. The course takes up time and a class space that could be better used on a class that actually requires hands-on learning. If you have a passion for writing, this class might be a nice fit for you, though I still wouldn't recommend the professors if you're truly looking to grow as a writer. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend taking the course at the university at all. Professor West is untimely with the feedback on papers, which I found made the revision process difficult. In addition, his teaching methods did not exactly validate the face-time that was required of the course.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, there were no real highlights of this course for me. I did get practice in a type of writing that I had not had much prior experience in, Quantitative Literature. However, you probably already dealt in it in high school and just didn't know that was what it was called; it wasn't entirely new, and therefore still didn;t justify taking the course on campus for me.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course, you need to have an already developed and sturdy writing ability. In my experience, there's not much help from the instructor, therefore, you have to already be skilled.
