    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It was an extremely interesting and fun course. I am a non-music major who needed a fine arts credit and this course was perfect. Dr. Ruiz is an amazing professor who truly loves teaching.

    Course highlights:

I gained fairly cool knowledge on jazz history. I also gained a liking for jazz music.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Complete all listening logs, study notes for the tests, tests are fairly easy. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE NIGHT BEFORE TO STUDY FOR THE LISTENING PORTION OF THE TEST.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you are interested in jazz music or music in general. It is a very interesting and informative class.

    Course highlights:

I learned the beginnings and development of jazz. This class is fairly easy; the hardest part to me was having to memorize the name of jazz songs that had no words.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advice taking good notes in this class. The professor does not put power points online so if you don't get the information in class or from someone who was there, you will never see it again.
