Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it really changed my opinion towards the idea of women and gave me a sort of strength in the beliefs I already have.

    Course highlights:

The tests were short but very thorough and made you really think about the subjects presented in the textbook. I learned about the different situations that women are presented oppression.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do your reading because it is definitely discussed every class period.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to everyone! It is just so diverse and it gives you a different perspective on women and problems faced all around the world that the media doesn't talk about because it is too focused on self imagery.

    Course highlights:

I learned self appreciation and gained an inside on third world women. The power of a woman and being a girl. To hold your head up and be a trend setter even if it mean being the outcast.

Take Dr. Bowman and make sure to study her slides!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone. The professor kept the class interesting with jokes and different videos. She is very passionate about what she teaches and thorough on what she wants and expects out of her students from the very beginning. Although we did a lot of reading in class, things were always interesting to read up on, and I always felt enlightened after doing so. We also watched videos frequently, and she is always up for a classroom discussion/debate and is very open to hear everyone different opinions and views, without judgement.

    Course highlights:

I gained greater knowledge on many different theories because of this course. It was interesting to see how different women are/were treated just because of their sexual orientation, religious beliefs, and/or race. This course really opened my eyes on how women are seen as inferior and how patriarchal views have shaped society into believing that women are not equal to a man in many different aspects of life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course you must keep up with all of the assigned readings, if you don't read you won't pass. All quizzes are essays and are solely based on the assigned readings, videos watched in class, and her powerpoints.
