    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I really appreciated Sadeghi's teaching style. Sometimes he wasn't the nicest guy, but he was brilliant. Talk a lot (but don't get anything wrong) and the class will be entertaining.

    Course highlights:

Inter-molecular forces, pressure, and equilibrium. Molarity and molality are also covered,

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Sadeghi gives related examples during class as the tests, but make sure you review questions every way you could think to get them.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor made sure we understood all of the many reactions we have to know in order to do well on the standardized Organic Chemistry final. I liked how he explained why certain electrons and bonds were moved instead of just expecting us to memorize it.

    Course highlights:

I had a very hard time in Organic Chemistry I and expected the same in ochem 2, but it ended up being not as bad at all. It really helped to have a solid understanding of ochem 1 and why/how bonds are broken/formed. That is all that organic chemistry really is!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not underestimate how much study time you need to give for this course. If you think you understand a reaction, try looking at the reaction with different reactants or products, and see if you can predict the new product or reactant.

It is difficult to follow along during lectures

    Course highlights:

and when asking questions not much guidance is given.

Luckily, you are allowed to work in groups on most assignments.
