    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Irvin is a wonderful professor. Her honors classes are very small (12-15 people) and she posts her actual lectures online for you to watch and take notes over at your own speed. Then in class you and a couple of your classmates get into groups and practice problems with the help of Dr. Irvin and her SI. This allowed me to grasp the material so much more effectively than if I had been in an impersonal lecture hall with hundreds of other students.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about organic chemistry, the required material for the standardized test, the ACS, and even more from Dr. Irvin's extensive experience and knowledge.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study! Carefully watch every lecture and take detailed notes. Then do all of the practice problems Dr. Irvin recommends and do your best to understand them. Then actively participate in class, ask questions, do problems!
