Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Laurie Fluker is an outstanding professor and I highly, highly recommend her! She is hilarious and incorporates her humor into her lectures. She makes her lectures interactive and makes sure we are understanding the concepts she's teaching. 10/10 for sure

    Course highlights:

This course is the introductory course for all branches of the Mass Communications department. I learned the basic history of media, the important need-to-know people of technological history and how the different generations use/don't use different forms of media and technology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention and be respectful during lectures. Participate in the interactive portions of her lectures and be sure to check TRACS regularly for announcements and notes that she posts.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

For any prospective mass communication students, I would highly recommend that you sign up for Introduction to Mass Communication with Dr. Laurie Fluker. The reason being, that she is the best (and probably the only) professor to teach you the ropes when it comes to the history of mass media.

    Course highlights:

I learned that history is not as useless as I thought. She speaks frequently about how much she loves history, and that she can not get enough of it in one lecture. Though she speaks of specific moments in history, she is ever-intrigued by the subject.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in Dr. Fluker's class, you have to attend her lectures. In addition to attending her lectures, you must also keep up with chapter readings and PowerPoint presentations.
