Pretty easy, overall.
Textbooks are expensive because they're the ones Ms Mora wrote. She requires that original recent editions be bought directly from the publisher (no sellbacks at the end of the semester!) so that we can do online homework and print off assignments (which she does not accept if you photocopy from another student). For such an introductory course that didn't apply to my major, it was a bit of a shock to my wallet.
This course is a fairly straightforward introduction to the practice of government in the US and Texas. It's pretty much the same material that was covered in my high school Government class, except in Mora's course we watched more videos.

Advice for students:
Always do the (expensive) homework. It's an easy A-- the answers are verbatim from the text itself. Honestly, if you get less than a high A, you aren't even trying (nor are you getting your money's worth). Maybe consider taking a different professor.
