    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend this professor at all. His accent is too strong to understand and he goes off on way too many tangents just to explain a simple equation. Each question takes at least 20 minutes because of this, so half the class ends up leaving before the class is over. I end up reading the textbook and teaching myself most nights.

    Course highlights:

There weren't many highlights in this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Teach yourself using the online textbook.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Tammy is the most amazing math teacher I have ever had. She answers any questions that you have and is always there for you during her office hours. What makes her stand out from the rest of the Algebra professors at Texas State, is that she takes two weeks at the beginning of the semester to go over the basics to make sure that everyone is on the same beat instead of starting into a subject that some students have forgotten how to do.

    Course highlights:

You have 2 homework grades weekly, but she drops your 8 lowest grades. There is also a quiz every week, but she only records 5 of those grades so you have a ton of chances to make 5 one-hundreds.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Ask her anything you are confused about and she will explain it every which way until you understand. She is compassionate about her subject and understands that it is not everyone's cup of tea. I learned the most from her that any other math teacher that I have ever had, and you will too.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor is very good and knows what he's talking about. He does not mind helping students outside of class.

    Course highlights:

His notes are not hard to take because he works out the problems in class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you have problems, please ask questions or go visit during office hours!
