    This class was tough.

Great introduction into accounting. You will really get to know accounting if you are willing to put in the effort.

    Advice for students:

I started studying for the first day of class, Make sure you keep on top of you work and reading also. I attended supplemental instruction sessions and those helped a lot too.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a great course, but it is tough. You definitely have to put the work in, but if you do you end up learning a lot. Roberta Allen is a great professor because she raises the bar and expects a lot from her students. Ultimately, it is professors like her who contribute to the great reputation of the Rawls College of Business. Without high standards and difficult classes like this one, graduates would not be successful in the real world.

    Course highlights:

Material for exam one has been my favorite so far! Inventory material for exam II just is not my cup of tea.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the course from Roberta Allen, no one else! The tests are departmental, meaning all students take the same exams created by the department head. Year after year, her students are among the most prepared. Also, start studying on day one and do not let up or get behind. If you don't keep up, you will kiss your GPA goodbye.
