Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Not only is this a fascinating course about the history of architecture and how it is involved with the world around it, but it is also very entertaining and fun to participate in. The projects are few, and generally very simple. The instructor is funny but also extremely informative. I would take this course every semester if I could.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me first and foremost about the basics of Architecture and some of the most important names behind it throughout history. Each movement of Architecture was coupled with names of famous Architects, works they had done, and why they were important. In addition, though, we learned how society impacted each work as well as the impact that the work had on society. If you have even the slightest interest in design, environment, and/or society (as this course is very aptly named), then every day in this class is a highlight.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not hesitate to take notes. The material is not difficult so long as you take notes and read over them at least once again after you have taken them.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The professor makes this class fun because he has a great sense of humor. You will have a good time learning about architecture history. You will have three main projects that you get plenty time to do and no homework other than two readings. You have one midterm and final test which he gives the answers too.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the history of architecture over the years. At the beginning I learned about the renaissance architects. We went through key architects and builds from post modern , modern, and deconstruction era.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class everyday because he doesn't post the lectures online. Make sure you take good notes and he usually tells you what you need to write. If you miss a class, you can get the notes form the four note takers in class.
