    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I personally did not enjoy organic chemistry, but I considered Dr. Harned a good teacher. He carefully explained concepts and was very helpful during office hours. Going to SI too really helped though!

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of organic chemistry, which I will need for the MCAT. This course definitely gave me experience working to understand a subject I really struggled with.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to SI sessions! Do practice problems and go to office hours if you need help. This class is one of the hardest classes I've ever taken and any help available is helpful.

    Course highlights:

Mostly structures and their conformations as well as their reactions to known reagents

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Mayer is a wonderful instructor and very knowledgeable about organic chemistry. He made a very difficult subject extremely easy to grasp so long as you were willing to put in the effort to learn it.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of different reactions and tips on how to survive the organic chemistry portion of the mcat

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class, read the textbook, practice examples, and attend the study sessions
