    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Learned a lot, but it is definitely hard work. Not an easy A, but since I like biology, I felt that this was a good learning experience.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to study for a difficult course. This was my first college course that I really had to work at achieving an A. I learned how to take notes, how to read my textbook thoroughly, and how to prepare for a test.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't wait until the last minute to study and show up to class! Make sure you read the textbook, probably more than once before a test!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It provides the best foundation for studying biology, as well as learning how to really study biology.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Dini is a fantastic lecturer, and is entirely devoted to improving the ways biology is taught and removing the stigma that biology is only about rote memorization.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The day after a given lecture, rewrite your notes, and see if there are any parts you do not understand. If you find yourself confused, go to office hours immediately.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course highlights very useful biological concepts for all of human life, and Dr. Dini's terse and no-nonsense teaching style augments the educational standards of the course. Dr. Dini's exams will no doubt prepare a future healthcare professional with the applicative characteristics of the exam questions.

    Course highlights:

This course has a very challenging lab component and this component factors into the overall grade. I learned much more about cell biology and human anatomy and physiology in a method that did not sugarcoat the facts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate on the lecture readings. Record the lectures with a voice recorder and go over the lecture notes with the recording to ensure a better understanding of the material for the exams.
