Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's required for music majors but it is quite difficult with a consistentlyrics moderate workload. Can be very manageable if you do your work and participate in class.

Theory 1 teaches you the very basics of common practice music. There are projects that test the students basic understanding of the information and they aren't too difficult.

Always do your homework and ask your TA questions!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Koozin is very passionate about teaching, and also very knowledgable about the material. He's even a co-author of the textbook!

    Course highlights:

We learned about functional harmony, inversions of chords, and how to identify types of music forms.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Doing every homework is very beneficial, especially the anthology assignments. It may seem difficult a first, but even if you try and fail, Koozin will go over it and make it seem so easy.
