    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It teaches you a lot about your body and also it was an easy course. You learn what's best for you when you have a simple cold or when you just have a headache. It shows you how the medicine takes away the pain or how drugs affect your body.

    Course highlights:

I learn what the affects of cocaine, marijuana, amphetamines and alcohol were. We also learned what medications work best for pain and what's best for a cold. We also learned what kind of treatments you can use for acne and how it all affects your body or skin.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To study and to look over the notes. Also to do the online study guides as well as going to the extra credit sessions because not only do you get extra credit but you do the review in there as well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it teaches about the diseases and more specifically the drugs. It goes in depth on how the diseases and drugs affect the human body and how can the person counteract those effects. By the end the student will become knowledgeable in the common drugs that is in the market and know exactly what it does without relying so much on the Internet.

    Course highlights:

I gained a great amount of knowledge about the common medications used in different types of diseases, and there is a lot. In the course we also learned about drugs of abuse and how they affect the entire body, which tended to be my favorite part of the course, mostly because it is a topic that people usually do not go in depth in. It is nice in general to know what these drugs do. Now I can go look at the most common drugs at a drug store and know what they do instead of depending on the Internet. Apart from that, I also loved her accent (don't worry, she's easy to understand). Whenever she pronounced the technical name of drugs, it instantly sounded cooler.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

There is an extra study session in this class that is once a week (technically two days a week but you only need to go for one day) after class in another classroom. It only lasts an hour or less. These extra credit session definitely helps for the tests (plus the study guide are basically these packets). I would mostly go over the study guide and then go onto specifics in the PowerPoint slides. The week of an exam, there is an exam study session at a later time instead of a study session at a later time (it is not extra credit and only offered once that week), but I would not say it is completely necessary, even though I still go to it. Attendance is a must. She gives a clicker quiz or two at every lecture except on exam days. They are not hard at all, in fact you can use your notes. There is a group-based learning activity in class. I would highly recommend studying the subject it covers. It is not hard, but I would have known an answer to a question if I just looked at my notes. This group-based learning does not allow open note. Make sure you know how to decently work Excel. You will have to turn very few assignments in there but if you know how to make a line graph from a table, you will save yourself a lot of time that others spend waiting in line for the professor to help them.
