Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The instructor tries to be available for his students and goes over course material well.

    Course highlights:

Even though the subject and exam can be hard for some people, as long as you put in the effort you will get your credit's worth. The professor goes over current events as well, and discusses issues of minorities.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

He gives the midterm study guide pretty early on in the course, so you have time to study for it. Don't procrastinate!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

For what it is, I would recommend this course. It is structured to engage students in each lecture. There are no electronic devices allowed, which forces the student to take notes, or at very least pay attention to the lecture. The only downside is that there is little room for discussion in class, as there is a lot of material to get through, and also a lot of students in this class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was the insight it gave me on slavery in America, as this was one of the main topics of the course, and the knowledge of the professor. Slavery is something Dr. Clavin has a lot of knowledge about, which makes him incredibly passionate when he talks about the topic. This engaged me even more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Prepare for a lot of reading. The lectures will not be posted online, which forces you to attend each lecture. Go to class, take good notes, STRUCTURE your essays well, and you should be golden for this class.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I loved that the professor was very knowledgeable and interpreted history in an interesting way. He always made the class fun and allowed me to always enjoy this class.

    Course highlights:

The lecture is great, Professor Clavin always makes the lectures interesting and if you attend class regularly you are guaranteed a good grade since he taught great. The tests are made up of significant terms you learn throughout the semester, a short essay, and a couple of multiple choice. This might sound like a tough test but it is not.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do learnsmarts before class and you will be ready for the material that will be taught.
