    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Vujanovic does a great job at teaching mental disorders in real-life examples that helps the student learn about concretely.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of Abnormal Psychology for me was learning about Personality Disorders. While learning about other mental disorders, such as schizophrenia and anorexia nervosa disorder, was equally important, I found personality disorders to be interesting because it all starts with the individual. In particular, I enjoyed learning about borderline personality disorder, in which the individual has periods of extreme high emotions to extreme low emotions, coupled with impulsivity and strained relationships.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The professor utilized the Clicker system, where questions from the chapter of that day were put online and students had to use their clickers to click on the right answer. The answers came from the textbook of the chapter for today. What I would recommend for the students is even if you get the answer wrong, write down the correct answer. The clicker questions will show up on your tests and having the clicker answers from writing them down beforehand will give you and advantage. In addition, the teaching assistant for Abnormal Psychology suggested I write down the key definitions for each chapter on note-cards and doing that made learning more about the chapter from the professor's lectures easier.
