    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a very, very, very, excellent informational course in regards to preparing future teachers in lesson planning. This course covers the necessary requirements and understandings a future needs in appliance to the TEKS. Not only does this course cover important standard material but it really breaks down the individual pieces in lesson planning. This is a phenomenal course for teachers to really gain. an understanding in putting together lesson plans. It is a lot of work, but definitely preparing for your future teaching job!

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned so much about what it really means to put a lesson plan together. I learned about what it means to align the lesson to my TEK standard, as well as appropriate strategies for differentiated instruction. This course definitely opened my eyes to the amount of work teachers really have to do. In addition to learning about the Texas standards and aligning my TEK with the lesson I learned how important it is to implement different teaching strategies in the classroom. Every student learns differently and this course taught me many ways that I can be a better teacher to kids by accommodating to their learning needs.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to future students or current ones enrolled in this course is to become best friends with Time Management. That is my advice, be organized, be prepared and do not let yourself fall behind. I would advice to take this course just as seriously as you would if you were an actual teacher. Every assignment you do should be completed as if the next day your class is going to do it. You will be very proud of yourself and learn a lot by the end, but again, don't let temptations get in the way of your learning. Good Luck!
