    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Super hard tests, the concepts are 60% more difficult than physics 1

    Course highlights:

Homework and textbook and late night studying is your best friend. You will get no rest if you take this course.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Prepare yourself for a rough semester. Lots of studying. Go to labs and office hours. Get help if you need it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Physics 2 covers a small bit of thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, and optics. If you are a science or engineering major, you probably have to take this and you have probably heard some horrible things about the class. If you put in the effort and you read the textbook the class is completely doable and you can learn some pretty interesting things in this course

    Course highlights:

Although physics is generally regarded as the worst and hardest science, its actually really interesting. I particularly liked learning about how electromagnetic waves, how changing either flux generates an emf and learning more about how magnets work.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The material is hard to understand if you just go to class and listen, read the textbook, take notes on it, do some practice problems both from the book and his PowerPoint. The textbook problems are generally way harder than his actual test question so do not worry if you can't get all of them. For each chapter try to understand the material conceptually because the test will have conceptual problems. He requires you to do pearson textbook homework for a grade so this can cushion your grade if you do well on them, and for my class he even made some of the homework extra credit. But all the test are multiple choice, the final replaces your lowest test grade, so if you really study for the last test it can literally save you and he usually curves his class at the end.
