    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend this course at all. Dr. Cheng is a incredibly intelligent man but his teaching skills are non existent which is incredibly disappointing, I wish I could know what he knows.

    Course highlights:

I did not learn anything from this course that I didn't already know. His wording was jumbled and mismanaged.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I'd advise people to truly consider if they need this course. It is not at all a requirement and the class above it, 1306, is a far better introduction to the material.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Chung is a wonderful person but his class is unstructured and if you do not have an advanced understanding of C programming, you aren't going to do well in this beginning course.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is that I learned quite a bit about how to read professors. If you cannot understand their voice when they're talking about lectures, think about not taking the course.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed this course I'd take a few free online computing courses and read a few books on it.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Pretty easy if you have prior experience in Comp Sci or can learn quickly. HARD to understand but just goes over powerpoints/the textbook

    Course highlights:

The basics of programming and C programming

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Look over the powerpoints/textbook and use those to study. He gives a few quizes during the first half that will help you study for the midterm and final
