    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This professor is the mother of Computer Science at the University of Houston. She will guide you through the toughest challenges a programmer will face later in your career. Having her as a professor is a blessing in disguise as she will take the time to hear your troubles and will do her best to help you in any way she can!

    Course highlights:

The challenging, but doable programming assignments where the best/worst part of the course. You're challenging your mental abilities while gaining insight at the same time. This course encouraged teamwork which is helpful whenever you're stuck with a certain problem. I've learned that teamwork is what makes the dream work in this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Please start early on homework assignments and never be discouraged! I didn't know how to write a single line of code when entering this course, but will now graduate with a bachelor's in Computer Science thanks to the professor and course. All you need to do is put grit, potential, and ambition into your soul and you can overcome anything!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a very good course for people wanting to do computer science. It sets up the basic foundation of programming which will be used more in senior courses.

    Course highlights:

Object oriented programming concepts, Java and C++ programming.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do the in-class assignments and extra work given by Dr. Rizk. They will help you a lot at the end of the semester to show to the professor that you worked hard for the course.
