Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Lihua Ma to anyone. She takes the necessary time to answer your questions, and will work with you until you absolutely understand chemistry. She goes through her PowerPoints quickly, so make sure you have printed out her slides or have a recording device ready.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to calculate different concentrations of solutions, concentration of buffer titrations, the fundamentals of nuclear chemistry and organic chemistry, and much more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To be successful, make sure that you visit Dr. Ma during her office hours, practice as many sample problems as possible, print out her PowerPoint slides, record her (Warning: She has an accent), and be friendly (she appreciates a good laugh).

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. D isn't like other professors he goes far and beyond willing to help the students pass and score highly on his exams. Its just up to how much effort the student is willing to put in.

    Course highlights:

The course furthered my knowledge and he managed to explain in greater depth the concept of molecular bonding , a topic I always struggled with. He made the class fun with exciting demonstrations and tons of extra credit opportunities.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

One has to show up to class everyday to understand what is going on. Tend to focus more on the concept of the idea not on writing down all the notes. If extra help is needed the TA is willing to help or ask Dr. D in office hours.
