Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ms. McCue is a very knowledgable professor and is very willing to answer any questions you may have. Her exams are based on the readings in the textbook as well as the online practice exams. She writes very detailed study-guides for her students. You can make at least a B from just reading her study-guides. However, it is almost imperative that you read and understand the textbook to make an A in the course. She also guides her students in the direction of their life goals. She does this by making your career plan an assignment. She will discuss her thoughts about your plan with you. She also has in-class activities and memory-tricks to help you learn the material.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the human anatomy and functions, general biological functions, plants, and about research. The study-guides helped me learn how to study Biology-type courses. It showed me how to group material and memorize even the smallest of details. I think the highlight of this course was discussing career goals because it really put what I wanted versus what I needed to to do achieve my goals.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to keep up with the reading and to actually do the reading. If you ace all of the exams throughout the course, she allows you to skip out on the comprehensive final. The individual exams are also somewhat comprehensive. So, it is important to really learn the material because it will be continually retested.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. McCue will prepare you for the real world if you take her course seriously.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course for me was the Bio Career reports. I don't like working in teams very often and this was the first time that I genuinely enjoyed it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book, takes notes, read the slides, and go to tutoring for the BC reports.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because this course forces the student to recall and apply older information from the previous semester. I like when topics are taught and they build up on each other.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about scientific data analysis and how to interpret graphs and the results.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise to come to class every day and pay attention and read over the notes during lecture. This way you have a general idea of the chapter. Then read the chapters that are assigned. Go over the slides and once or twice and quiz yourself.
