    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Chen is brilliant with math but doesn't make it difficult to learn or adapt to use. With the passion he has in his classes, I highly recommend any course he teaches, but this one was a light bulb moment. All the research reports and medical information based on statistics finally made sense and changed me.

    Course highlights:

The basics of gathering information, to analyzing, then plotting with standard deviations and the confidence levels, z- scores and how to uses them

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be able to listen, pay attention, and stay up with the coursework. If you fall behind, you will have a difficult time being successful. But if you need help, Dr. Chen is great about answering your questions. The more involved you are in the class time conversations, the more likely you are to retain the information.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Chen was so thorough in the way he covered the material and made visual cues to remember the steps. It was difficult, but very rewarding! I highly recommend any of his courses.

    Course highlights:

I have seen many resources with statistical data, but it wasn't until this Statistics course that it really clicked. Then the ability to predict based on the range of he data. Even though it has been several years since I took this course, it was one that significantly opened my eyes and increased my interest in reviewing statistical data.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Finish the reading and homework before each class! He will select students randomlybto cover the homework and you don't want to be unprepared! Additionally, staying up to date prevents falling behind. Each class builds on the last one, so missing a class or being unprepared makes success much harder to achieve.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend because I feel business stats is unnecessary except for the fact that it's a required course.

    Course highlights:

I feel as if the high lights were bonding with students about how miserable we were and how we didn't understand the topic which led to us talking to each other; teachings each other ourselves about z charts and such.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Please go to the stats lab and get help. YouTube tutorials will be your best friend. Don't use wolfram and actually learn how to use the calculator.
