This course provides relevant information about daily social interactions, all taught through insightful discussion questions, quizzes, and tests.

    Course highlights:

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do all the assignments; they're there for a reason! They help you prepare for the big grades (tests) while giving you smaller grades (quizzes and discussion questions).

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is not only informative, it is challenging. The content of social psychology requires that you not only think on an academic level but apply what you learn on a personal level. This course explains a lot of human behavior in society - both the positives and the pitfalls. Also, the course I took is self-paced, so it's perfect if you are a disciplined student.

    Course highlights:

I learned that social psychology, though often confused with sociology, is different in that it focuses on the individual's cognitive and behavioral processes in the context of groups. I learned the difference between automatic thinking and high level thinking. I learned how to influence others thoughts and feelings, sometimes with something as deceptively simple as the power of smell, i.e. the smell of citrus makes people feel generous and more inclined to trust. I learned about the power of group processes, and that anyone is susceptible to the processes that lead to the tragedy of Jonestown.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Dr. Harrington gives you all the tools to be successful. As long as you read and listen to the pre-recorded lectures that's all you need.
