    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend taking this course online like I did unless you have recently taken a similar course. I had never taken a statistics course at all and found trying to grasp the concepts very difficult.

    Course highlights:

Nursing degrees require statistics to help prepare you for doing research. I learned the difference between a study that was statistically significant versus one that was not. Before this course, I didn't understand what that meant.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would take this course in an actual classroom if at all possible. It's very hard having to wait for responses to questions when you take it in an online format. I was very frustrated with this class because of that. Statistics for me was a hard concept to grasp.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is required by most degree plans, however the way the class is set up ifyou attend all of the lectures, get your lab hours, and do the homework it is near impossible to fail you might not get and A but you can most definitely pass.

    Course highlights:

This course is great to take before almost any statistical analysis course because it teaches all of the basic including the validity of a source, how to avoid bias in a study, and all of the steps involved behind a statistic.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always so the homework, this class is impossible to not only pass but understand if you do not do the homework. Most of the homework takes at least a couple of hours so do not wait until the night before, the same goes for studying for the tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This professor works hard to communicate with students and offer many different avenues of learning the material. In my experience, a thorough reading of the text, attendance at the webcasts, and prompt submission of homework will earn you an excellent grade.

    Course highlights:

I have a much better understanding of how statistics are used (rightly and wrongly) in the world around me.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prompt with homework. Communicate with the teacher if you are having trouble. Read all the definitions carefully and take good notes.
