    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This is a "weed-out" class. Do not get overwhelmed by the information you are to take in. Go to study sessions and communicate with your group members, and ask questions if you do not understand.

    Course highlights:

    Being able to learn about basic programming was a highlight in this course. MatLab is not easy at the beginning but, with practice, it is better understood.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Some advice I would give is to practice challenge problems and attend the nightly tutor sessions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Supposed to be a introductory course, however it have Higher level physics and calculus build in. 2-3 Assignments per week. Average grade for first test was around a 20, and it was 18% of the total course. Out of 700 students for the semester, apox. 400-500 dropped. DO NOT take unless you have higher level physics or chemistry with at least calculus1.

    Course highlights:

    Do not take this course. Majority have failed or dropped, this class needs a lot of work to be passable.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

    If you take it, i hope you do well. You will need to study a lot and this will take away a lot from your other courses.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    This class is a very strong way to become accustomed to what kinds of problems you will be facing in your own engineering discipline. It covers a variety of topic and provides a solid foundation.

    Course highlights:

    Most of the class is solving problems in groups, while lectures are given sparingly. This allows students to practice on their own while having resources such as the professor, the TAs, and fellow students to help out if they're stuck.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Be sure to go over each and every single practice problems. The test can have similar questions.
