Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is one of the most important classes to take. As professional nurses, we are responsible for our knowledge in health policy and legal aspects.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the health policies and legal aspects of nursing. After taking this class I am more cognizant of professional boundary issue in my practice. I now know that continued education, competence, and prevention is the key to avoiding professional boundary violation. Education and improved clinical supervision of nurses could result in fewer professional boundary violations. There is a need for ongoing education in nursing programs and post-graduation practice regarding professional boundaries. Nurses need to be mindful of state practice acts, codes of conduct, and employer policies. All nurses need to be aware of resources available to them and how to access them and I am glad I took this class.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Read your chapters, post discussion on time, don't forget to acknowledge cited materials, journals prove that you have studied your materials. Most of all this class is for your own benefit because you need to know these policies anyway.
