    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course, as Dr. Rex-Lear is very knowledgeable in the subject and knows how to make the course interesting. She is very generous and cares about her students very much. The course in itself is interesting as it goes over multiple aspects and theories of counseling.

    Course highlights:

The course is not necessarily the how-to of counseling but it is very important as it lays the foundation. In the course, multiple counseling approaches (theories) are examined along with techniques used in each approach and the situations that it would be useful. Being that it is more about the theory behind it, paying attention is crucial.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend that you read the book. It is very helpful in explaining the concepts and techniques. It would also be beneficial to go to class as Dr. Rex-Lear explains the material extremely well. Once again-READ!!! She likes to call on random individuals in class to make sure that you are doing your part. She does this not to embarrass you, but to gauge your understanding and from that, help/guide you through the problem areas.
