    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it really challenges the student to think and understand how the brain overlaps and controls our thoughts and movements along with many other things.

    Course highlights:

From this course I gained knowledge about the human brain I did not even know existed. There is a lot to memorize in this class!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to study every single day for this course. Studying the night before does not get you an A.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Miller is a fantastic and highly engaging professor! His lecture style is fun and light-hearted, but it's still obvious that his knowledge runs deep. Additionally, he is both a medical and research doctor--meaning that his understanding of the brain and its functions is both up to date and in depth. EVERYONE loved him!

    Course highlights:

Basically, Behavior Neuro is a very general course that outlines some of the integral functions of the brain in relation to every other system. So you learn: basic anatomy, basic functions, and well know brain-related illnesses. Since he's a doctor, he also gives basic case studies to teach you how to start thinking like a neurosurgeon.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't waste your money on the textbook. Dr. Miller's tests come straight out of his powerpoints, but you NEED to show up to class. If you skip, you WILL miss important test material, since his exams are very detail oriented. Also, make friends with the TAs, they are fantastic study buddies.
